Leaves in the gutter? Use a mesh!

The leaf of a tree is the endless effort of the Earth to communicate with the Sky. The world, a leaf hanging from the tree of the universe. Nothing in the world is as delicate as a falling leaf. Yes, friends, these are beautiful quotes, but in reality, leaves can be a problem. Let's find out more in this video.

Hello everyone, we are the Fenceshop team and today, as you may have guessed from the intro, we will talk about the leaf problem. Why the leaf problem? Because leaves can be a problem for our gutters. In what way? Leaves, ending up in the gutters, can cause clogs, block the gutter, and therefore cause water stagnation. This can rot the cornices, create infiltrations inside our homes, or maybe attract birds that nest inside.

Today we discover an economical, fast, and practical way to try to solve it. Let's get started!

The Product: Levex Tube by Tenax

The product in question is the Levex Tube by Tenax. It is a tubular mesh, already in a tubular shape, made of HDPE material, which is high-density polyethylene. The package consists of 5 one-meter-long modules, which when put together will provide 5 meters of gutter protection. It is UV-protected and guaranteed for 10 years. It is resistant to tearing and breaking, and as you can see, it is black.

How to Lay the Levex Tube

Let's start by looking at how to lay this material. To make this video, we rely on a video already made by Tenax on how to lay it. Let's comment on it together and thank Tenax.

Phase 1: Gutter Cleaning

The first thing to do for correct laying of the Levex Tube inside the gutter is to clean it thoroughly. How to clean it? We can remove the dirt using a brush, a stick with a cloth, or simply washing it. The important thing is to be careful because, most likely, if we are talking about gutters, we are up high.

Phase 2: Module Preparation

Unroll, open our package, and conveniently distribute the five modules inside, so they are ready for use.

Phase 3: Laying the Mesh

The next step in laying is very simple. Just close this pre-formed roll to the diameter we want. This mesh varies from 12 to 15 centimeters in diameter. Insert it into the gutter, just leaving it there. If we need to cut it, don't worry: with simple scissors, we can easily do it without too much effort.

Phase 4: Module Joining

In case of joining, we just need to take the other module, squeeze it a little more, roll it a bit, and insert it inside the previous module we placed. There you go, the work is done, no additional fastening is required. Its circular shape will ensure that once inside, it will automatically lock because it expands a little, so it will stay locked there.

I would say it's a very practical, very economical system, and above all, it should solve the leaf problem for life. Instead of ending up in the gutter and then rotting with water, the leaves will stay on the surface, tend to dry out, and the wind will carry them away.

Conclusion

So, what do you think? Satisfied with this system? Have you already tried it? Let us know in the comments. If you have any doubts, write to us or contact us privately: we are available to provide further information.
