Hello everyone, I'm Marco from Fenceshop and today we want to talk to you about an octagonal mesh welded network, a product that will surely capture your attention for its unique characteristics. This mesh, produced by Cavatorta, is called Decoplax Evoluzione and features an octagonal mesh that makes it truly special. Let's discover together all its technical features and possible uses.

Technical Features

Decoplax Evoluzione is one of the few meshes available in two colors: green and anthracite. This is not just an aesthetic detail but also offers greater flexibility for pairing with different types of posts and environments. Additionally, the mesh is galvanized and plastic-coated, guaranteeing a lifespan of over ten years, a feature that speaks to its quality and sturdiness.

The dimensions of the mesh are approximately 50x50 mm in the wide part and about 50x25 mm in the narrow part. Another distinctive feature is the wire used, which has two different diameters depending on the direction. Horizontally, the wire has an internal diameter of 1.8 mm and an external diameter of 2.4 mm, while vertically it is 2 mm internally and 2.6 mm externally.

The available heights for this mesh are six: 80 cm, 1.20 m, 1.50 m, 1.80 m, and up to 2 meters. The rolls come in 25 linear meters, but we at Fenceshop also offer convenient cutting per meter to meet your specific needs.

Uses and Applications

Thanks to its mesh and the two available colors, Decoplax Evoluzione is ideal for residential use. Regarding installation, Decoplax Evoluzione is a mesh that works well despite its robustness. The roll, although heavy, is still easily manageable. Thanks to its creases, it is possible to accentuate them in areas where the mesh might remain looser once tensioned, helping to keep it straighter and more taut.

We recommend using a round post for the installation of this mesh, especially since it is a mid-high range product that deserves a visually pleasing support. It's important to remember that this mesh should be installed with posts on concrete footings, as it can reach quite high tension. Therefore, avoid installing the posts directly on the ground.

A Particular Use

A French customer of ours used Decoplax Evoluzione for a very special project: the breeding of Savannah cats, a cross between the serval, a wild feline, and the domestic cat. This mesh offered her the necessary security thanks to the size of the meshes, preventing the cats from escaping, and an aesthetic touch that perfectly matches her environment.
